Eritrean nationals residing in Khartoum and environs assert readiness to enhance role in State affairs

Eritrean community members residing in the Sudanese city of Khartoum and its environs have asserted readiness to enhance role towards the realization of development goals.

Asmara, 07 November 2014 – Eritrean community members residing in the Sudanese city of Khartoum and its environs have asserted readiness to enhance role towards the realization of development goals. They made the pledge at meetings the nationals conducted as regards mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies.

Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Charge de’ Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy in Khartoum, gave briefings to the meeting participants focusing on the achievements registered in the Homeland over the past 15 years regarding the task of ensuring food security, putting in place of social service facilities and developing human resource capacity, among others.

He further stated that the nation is registering progress in socio-economic spheres thanks to the steadfastness and dedication of the citizenry at home and abroad. In this connection, the required groundwork is being laid for investment, he added.

The participants of the meetings expressed readiness to step up participation in national development endeavors on the basis of enhanced organization and awareness. They also called for organizing similar meetings in the future.
