Eritrean nationals residing in the UK, Australia and New Zealand contributed over 168 thousand dollars towards Martyrs’ Trust Fund

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare indicated that Eritrean nationals residing in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand contributed over 168 thousand dollars towards Martyrs’ Trust Fund.

 

Asmara, 9 November 2014- The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare indicated that Eritrean nationals residing in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand contributed over 168 thousand dollars towards Martyrs’ Trust Fund.

According to the report, the 86,044 dollars has been contributed by the Debre Medhanit Kidan Church in the UK, Eritrean community member in the cities of Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds and London as well as other nationals.

The remaining 82,800 has been contributed by Eritrean community members in the Australian and New Zealand cities of Brisbane and Sydney as well members of the National Union of Eritrean Women branch in Brisbane and Auckland.

The Eritrean nationals explained that every citizen should shoulder the responsibility of assisting families of fallen heroes, and that is a noble commotion that brings peace of mind.
