Women in Dirfo administrative area graduate in adult education

Sixty women in Dirfo administrative area, Akria sub-zone, who have attending adult education for six months graduated on 6 November.

Asmara, 9 November 2014- Sixty women in Dirfo administrative area, Akria sub-zone, who have attending adult education for six months graduated on 6 November.

In a speech she delivered at the ceremony, Ms. Dehab Tesfai, administrator of the sub-zone, called for the illiteracy program to mainly target all sections of the society and especially women.

Mr. Gezai Haile, head of adult education program at the sub-zone, explained that providing education to mothers means nurturing developed society, and that the adult education provided to the 60 women residents of the administrative areas of Arberobu’e, Antesfti and Shumai attests to that end.

Likewise teacher Daniel Habtetsion commending the interest the participants demonstrated called on conducting sustainable awareness campaigns so that other members of the society participate in the adult educations programs.

The participants on their part appreciated for the opportunity they have been provided, and called for creating conducive atmosphere for other women so that they become beneficiaries of the program.
