At a meeting in Stockholm city in connection with the 35th founding anniversary of the NUEW, it was noted that Eritrean women played exemplary role in both the liberation struggle and safeguarding the nation’s dignity.
Asmara, 13 November 2014 – At a meeting in Stockholm city in connection with the 35th founding anniversary of the NUEW, it was noted that Eritrean women played exemplary role in both the liberation struggle and safeguarding the nation’s dignity.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Medhin Kiros, head of the NUEW branch in the city, stated that the active role Eritrean women played thereof is a source of pride and dignity. She also indicated that such achievements of Eritrean women are being bequeathed to the young generation.
Mr. Yonas Manna, Charge de’ Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy in the Scandinavian countries, explained on his part that vigorous endeavors are being exerted towards ensuring gender equality.
The event witnessed the staging of cultural performances by Fre Hidri Rahwana cultural troupe and solidarity messages from different organizations were conveyed.
