Internees from Mendefera Associate School of nursing getting engaged in internship activities

Internees from Mendefera Associate School of Nursing are getting engaged in internship activities in the Southern region hospitals.

Mendefera, 14 November 2014 – Internees from Mendefera Associate School of Nursing are getting engaged in internship activities in the Southern region hospitals.

Among the internees, Seid Mohammed, Suzan Kibreab, Fisehaye Atobirhan and Feven Tesfamichael stated that the hospitals have provided them with the groundwork for practical exposure which is a vital prerequisite for raising their skill. They also gave assurance that the necessary efforts are being exerted to promote professional competence.

Mr. Bereket Fisehaye, head of the School, pointed out that the internees have been attending 16-month theoretical courses in antenatal and prenatal care, prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, Pediatrics, as well as internal diseases.

According to reports, about 1,000 students have so far graduated from the School.
