Northern Red Sea region: Higher public awareness described prerequisite for reeducation of crime instances

Massawa, 14 November 2014 – Lt. Colonel Habtetsion Tsehaye, head of crime investigation in the Northern Red Sea region, said that higher public awareness is vital for the reeducation of crime instances in the region in general and Massawa port city in
particular. He made the remarks at a seminar conducted for owners of tourism service-rendering institutions in the city.
In this connection, the police officer noted the impact of the nation’s cultural values in crime prevention, and the need to reinforce and popularize these values.
Lt. Colonel Habtetsion also called for active community participation towards reducing instances of crime through higher awareness.
