Eritrean cyclist Mekseb Debesai wins first stage of Tour de Rwanda

Eritrean cyclist Mekseb Debesai has won the first stage of the 6th edition of the Tour de Rwanda in the 94.5 Km. course of the race from Kigali city to Ngoma.

Asmara, 18 November 2014 –Eritrean cyclist Mekseb Debesai has won the first stage of the 6th edition of the Tour de Rwanda in the 94.5 Km. course of the race from Kigali city to Ngoma.

Rwanda’s Janvier Hadi grabbed the Yellow Jersey after winning in last Sunday’s prologue race and will keep it as he finished a few seconds behind Eritrean Mekseb Debesai.

This year’s Tour de Rwanda includes fourteen teams and more than 60 cyclists competing over a period of eight days.
