A sensitization campaign has been conducted in the port city of Massawa in which residents, civil servants of line ministries, national associations and institutions took part.
Massawa, 24 November 2014 – A sensitization campaign has been conducted in the port city of Massawa in which residents, civil servants of line ministries, national associations and institutions took part. The campaign was aimed at preventing diseases resulting from lack of sanitation.
Reports indicated that about 3,300 quintals of solid waste was removed through mobilizing over 8 thousand manpower and machineries.
The participants of the undertaking stated that it is a continuation of similar activities carried out previously, and noted its significance towards promoting community wellbeing.
They further called on communities to raise awareness towards conducting sensitization campaign, and called on the pertinent body to provide the necessary support in this regard.
