Central region: Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch disburses over 70 million Nakfa to martyrs families

Mr. Mogos Berhane, head of social security at the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region, said that over 70 million Nakfa has been disbursed to over 28 thousand families of fallen heroes through monthly benefit scheme over the past 10 months.

Asmara, 26 November 2014 – Mr. Mogos Berhane, head of social security at the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region, said that over 70 million Nakfa has been disbursed to over 28 thousand families of fallen heroes through monthly benefit scheme over the past 10 months.

He told Erina that the branch office also extended finical support to the same families contributed by Eritrean nationals inside the country and abroad, in addition to the monthly benefit scheme.

Mr. Mogos further pointed out that supporting and patronizing fellow citizens is the culture of the Eritrean people, and that the initiative taken to this end attests to the commitment of honoring the trust of martyrs.

According to reports, there are nationals residing in Asmara city who took the initiative of patronizing 3 to 10 families of martyrs.
