Annual Festival of Eritrean community members in Qatar conducted with zeal

The 3-day Annual Festival of the Eritrean community members in Qatar was conducted in Doha city in a colorful manner.

Asmara, 02 December 2014 – The 3-day Annual Festival of the Eritrean community members in Qatar was conducted in Doha city in a colorful manner.

Mr. Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, the Eritrean Ambassador to the country, noted the significance of the gathering, and that the performances staged thereof attest to this. He further expressed appreciation for those who made remarkable contribution in organizing the event.

Mr. Abdu-Selam Mohammed-Seid, chairman of the community, stated on his part that the annual festival is an occasion that manifests their unity and attachment with the Homeland.

In a seminar she conducted to Festival participants, Ms. Fawzia Hashim, Minister of Justice, as senior envoy of the Government and the PFDJ gave briefings regarding the objective situation in the nation vis-à-vis regional and international developments, the pace of national development drive and the contribution of nationals in this regard, as well as mounting staunch resistance against external conspiracies, among others.

The Festival participants expressed satisfaction with the manner the event was organized and voiced readiness to mount staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas.
