East Sudan cultural troupe stages performances in Gash-Barka and Anseba regions and Asmara city

A 16-member cultural troupe from East Sudan has staged performances in Tessenei, Agordat and Forto-Sawa, Gash-Barka region, as well as Keren, Anseba region, and Asmara city.

Asmara, 03 December 2014 – A 16-member cultural troupe from East Sudan has staged performances in Tessenei, Agordat and Forto-Sawa, Gash-Barka region, as well as Keren, Anseba region, and Asmara city. The cultural troupe made the tour in line with the objective of enhancing the close relations between the peoples of Eritrea and the Republic of Sudan.

The members of the cultural troupe expressed satisfaction with the hospitality accorded them in the course of the tour. They also expressed conviction that similar tours would be undertaken in the future.

Mohammed Osman, Chairman of the Eritrean Musicians Association, and Mohammed Druf, Eritrean singer, who took part in the musical performances along with the Sudanese artistes, noted on their part that the visit of the Sudanese artistes is an expression of the longstanding ties between the people of the two countries.
