Official inauguration of Qatar Airways flight to and from Eritrea conducted at Asmara Palace Hotel

The official inauguration of Qatar Airways flight to and from Eritrea was conducted yesterday at Asmara Palace Hotel in which  the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Tesfaselasie Berhane, and other Ministers, senior government and PFDJ officials, heads of national Associations and the Qatari Ambassador to Eritrea, Mr.  Hamad Mohammed Bin-Rashid Humeidi, as well as invited guests took part.

Asmara, 06 December 2014 – The official inauguration of Qatar Airways flight to and from Eritrea was conducted yesterday at Asmara Palace Hotel in which  the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Tesfaselasie Berhane, and other Ministers, senior government and PFDJ officials, heads of national Associations and the Qatari Ambassador to Eritrea, Mr.  Hamad Mohammed Bin-Rashid Humeidi, as well as invited guests took part.

In remarks he made on the occasion, Mr. Paulos Kahsai, Director General of the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority, noted the significance of the flight service, and expressed collaboration with the Airways in all its activities.

Likewise, Mr. Marwan Koleilat, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the prevailing collaboration and longstanding relations between Eritrea and Qatar, and expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Eritrean government and the Civil Aviation Authority in launching of the flight.

Reports indicated that the 5-Star Qatar Airways would provide flight and freight service to and fro the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA via Doha city. In addition, the Airways would provide postal service to Eritrea in the near future.

The flight service to Eritrea would take place twice a week on Friday and Sunday.
