Dekseb Junior and Secondary School students extend labor support to needy citizens and families of martyrs

The students of Dekseb Junior and Secondary School in Serejeka sub-zone have extended labor support to needy citizens and families of fallen heroes through collecting their harvest.

Serejeka, 10 December 2014 – The students of Dekseb Junior and Secondary School in Serejeka sub-zone have extended labor support to needy citizens and families of fallen heroes through collecting their harvest.

The students said that such support is part of the prevailing culture of collaboration in Eritrea and the commitment of honoring the Trust of Martyrs.

Leul Tewolde, head of the NUEYS branch in the sub-zone, stated that the initiative is a continuation of similar support by the Government and the society at large as regards patronizing martyrs families and needy citizens. He also noted significance of the imitative pertaining to keeping intact societal values.

In the same vein, Mr. Simon Tesfahiwet, school director, and Ms. Abrehet Goitom, member of the Central region’s Assembly, pointed out that backing families of martyrs is not only the responsibility of the Government, and that the initiative taken by the students in Weki, Zagir, Defere and Dekiseb villages attests to this stance.
