The Eritrean Medical Assocation today held its 20th Annual Conference at Asmara Palace Hotel.
Asmara, 13 December 2014 – The Eritrean Medical Assocation today held its 20th Annual Conference at Asmara Palace Hotel.
In a speech he delivered on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mismay Gebrehiwet, pointed out that it is fully aware of the fact that the Association has been working to meet the standards of the health care not only through physicians but also other health professionals.
Dr. Goitom Hagos, President of the Association, stated on his part that the purpose of the Association is to promote societal wellbeing on the basis of controlling and preventing instances of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Research papers were presented at the conference regarding the cause, effect and preventive measures concerning diseases, significance of prenatal and antenatal care, as well as the outcome of pertinent treatment and new discoveries to this end, among others.
Dr. Mismai indicated that the Health Ministry, in collaboration with partners, is working to compile Medical Journal, and called on nationals engaged in the process to sustain high contribution.
