Health Ministry’s branch in Central region exerting stepped-up efforts towards raising communal awareness
Ms. Dehab Solomon, head of family and community health department in the Health Ministry’s branch in the Central region, said that the branch office is exerting stepped-up efforts to raise communal awareness and reducing mother, as well as child mortality rate.
Asmara, 19 December 2014 – Ms. Dehab Solomon, head of family and community health department in the Health Ministry’s branch in the Central region, said that the branch office is exerting stepped-up efforts to raise communal awareness and reducing mother, as well as child mortality rate.
She told Erina that prenatal and antenatal care is registering 80% growth and that the number of mothers who deliver in health institutions has witnessed 70% growth, and thus giving impetus to low instance of mother mortality at delivery. She also stated that instances of disease resulting from lack of vaccination have been brought under full control.
