Central region: Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch registering encouraging outcome towards ensuring social welfare
The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region stated that encouraging outcome was registered this year towards ensuring welfare of nationals.
Asmara, 20 December 2014 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region stated that encouraging outcome was registered this year towards ensuring welfare of nationals. This was disclosed at an assessment meeting of the branch office conducted recently.
Mr. Kaleab Tesfaselasie, Director General of social service in the Central region, pointed out that the Ministry is exerting persistent endeavors towards improving the livelihood of needy citizens through creating conducive atmosphere, and expressed appreciation for the active participation of the Ministry’s staff in the process.
Mr. Yosef Tesfai, Head of the Ministry’s branch, noted the significance of the assessment meeting pertaining to indentifying positive and negative aspects, and called on members of the Ministry to enhance role towards the realization of the set goals.
In a report presented at the meeting, it was stated that satisfactory outcome has been registered in rehabilitating families that patronize orphaned children, extending educational materials to needy students and patronizing families of fallen heroes, among others.
In closing remarks, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet , Minister of Labor and Human Welfare, explained that the objectives of the Ministry is to nurture the culture of work and promoting productivity, in addition to reinforcing endeavors to ensuring a generation that upholds the dignity of labor.
Certificates of appreciation were handed on the occasion to private and governmental institutions upon providing vocational and academic training courses to needy citizens.
