Instances of crime lowered in Hagaz and Kerkebert sub-zones following higher public awareness concerning legal issues

Instances of crime and accidents have decreased in Hagaz and Kerkeber sub-zones following promotional activities and enhanced public awareness regarding legal issues, according to an annual assessment of the Police branch office.

Hagaz, 25 December 2014 – Instances of crime and accidents have decreased in Hagaz and Kerkeber sub-zones following promotional activities and enhanced public awareness regarding legal issues, according to an annual assessment of the Police branch office.

Speaking at the meeting, Sub-Lieutenant Isak Kifleyesus, Commander of Hagaz Police Station, pointed out that a number of seminars were conducted this year, and that instances of crime witnessed 30% reduction, while accidents have dropped by 41% compared with the year 2013. He further noted the vitality of active community participation in the realization of the set goals, and called on the local inhabitants to sustain cooperation with the Police Force.

The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to demonstrate the necessary cooperation with the Police and called on drivers to abide by Traffic laws.
