The Ministry of Education is conducting a 3-day workshop regarding active community participation in the putting in place of schools.
Asmara, 26 December 2014 – The Ministry of Education is conducting a 3-day workshop regarding active community participation in the putting in place of schools.
In opening remarks, Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education, pointed out that remarkable achievements could be registered towards expanding educational infrastructures nation-wide in collaboration with regional and international partners in recent years. To this end, he stated that visible growth has been witnessed in the expansion of educational institutions and student enrolment, among others. It is envisaged that the undertaking would involve the collaboration of partners.
In the course of the workshop, study papers and briefings would be presented pertaining to facilitating the ways and means of realizing the set objective.
The proposed construction of 500 schools would take place in the Administrative regions of Gash-Barka, Anseba, Southern and Northern Red Sea on the basis of active community participation.
