Sudanese Ophthalmologist team provides service in Barentu Referral Hospital

As part of the existing cooperation between the Eritrean Ministry of Health and the Sudanese Al-Bassar International Foundation dealing with ophthalmological service, a medical team from the latter has provided service at Barentu Regional Referral Hospital to nationals in Gash-Barka region.

Barentu, 31 December 2014 – As part of the existing cooperation between the Eritrean Ministry of Health and the Sudanese Al-Bassar International Foundation dealing with ophthalmological service, a medical team from the latter has provided service at Barentu Regional Referral Hospital to nationals in Gash-Barka region.

Nurse Niguse Kahsai, head of eye treatment at the hospital, stated that some 4 thousand nationals underwent medical examination connected with sight problem, including eye surgery on more than 360 individuals, while others were provided with eye glasses and medicaments.

Dr. Uzedin Al-Jezuli from among the Sudanese medical team said that the objective of the sixth round service here is in line with the prevailing spirit of brotherly ties between the people of Eritrea and the Republic of Sudan.
