Assembly of Northern Red Sea region holds 12th regular meeting

The Assembly of the Northern Red Sea region held its 12th regular meeting in the port city of Massawa on 29 and 30 December.

Massawa, 02 January 2015 – The Assembly of the Northern Red Sea region held its 12th regular meeting in the port city of Massawa on 29 and 30 December.

In opening remarks, Mr. Ibrahim Ali-Sheik, Chairman of the Assembly, pointed out that it is exerting stepped-up efforts as regards follow-up of public matters and their implementation. He also expressed readiness to enhance role so as to attain the cherished development goals.

The Assembly Chairman further stated that the Eritrean people stand on solid ground thanks to the vigorous endeavors being made in development undertakings, and that anti-Eritrea agendas have ended up in utter failure.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegergis, Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, explained that programs targeting economic development are being implemented, and stressed the need for keeping intact the experience acquired by farmers in the domain of soil and water conservation.

The regional Assembly adopted resolutions as regards action plan for 2015 drawn up by both the regional administration and the Assembly members.
