Asmara, 02 January 2014 – The Administration of the Central region indicated that it has implemented development programs in 2014 at an expenditure of over 238 million. This was disclosed at a recent assessment meeting.
The regional Administrator, Maj. General Ramadan Osman Awliyai, said that thanks to the active communal participation, the set goals were realized. He also pointed out that the allotment of land would take place shortly.
In the course of the meeting, reports by a number of heads were presented highlighting the tasks accomplished and that crop harvest from more than 25 thousand hectares is expected to be satisfactory. In other respects pertaining to education, health and social welfare, major programs were implemented in the course of the year.
