Students of Duta-Barentu School express readiness to sustain cooperation with the Police in crime prevention
The students of Duta-Barentu School have expressed readiness to sustain cooperation with the Police in crime prevention and upholding traffic laws.
Barentu, 03 January 2014 – The students of Duta-Barentu School have expressed readiness to sustain cooperation with the Police in crime prevention and upholding traffic laws. They made the pledge at a meeting with the Gash-Barka region Police office.
Speaking at the meeting, Maj. Haile Beraki, head of crime prevention, and Maj. Tekle Russom, head of Police traffic in the region, respectively pointed out that members of the Police Force are exerting persistent efforts in collaboration with the public so as to ensure the prevalence of peace and security. They further called on the youth to play active role in this regard.
In the course of the meeting, Maj. Haile presented an accomplishment report focusing on crime prevention last year. The need for demonstrating moral virtue on the part of students and thereby become beneficiaries of the available educational opportunity was also stressed.
