Youths in Southern Red Sea region called upon to enhance role in development endeavors

The Managing Director of the Southern Red Sea regional Administration, Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, has called on youths in the region to enhance role in development endeavors on the basis of enhanced awareness and organization.

Assab, 06 January 2015 – The Managing Director of the Southern Red Sea regional Administration, Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, has called on youths in the region to enhance role in development endeavors on the basis of enhanced awareness and organization.

He made the call at an assessment meeting of the National Union of Eritrean Youths and Students (NUEYS) branch in the region conducted recently. Ambassador Mohammed-Seid further pointed out that the heroic feats and dedication demonstrated by the Eritrean youths in the armed struggle for independence and safeguarding the nation’s dignity occupy a special chapter in Eritrean history and commended the NUEYS activities pertaining to nurturing virtuous youths. He also voiced the regional Administration’s readiness to provide the necessary support in all activities of the Union.

The meeting witnessed presentation of work accomplishment of the branch office in 2014 regarding political, social, economic, health and education-related activities conducted with a view to raising youth awareness in various domains.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Osman Abdal-Kadir, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, explained that the branch is organizing multi-faceted training courses pertaining to nurturing youths endowed with virtuous qualities. He also stressed the need for exerting more efforts on the part of partners to this end.

Mr. Adem Ali, the PFDJ Secretary in the region, commended the activities of the branch office, and noted the significance of cadres’ enhanced awareness as regards realization of set goals.
