Emini Haili sub-zone: Major development programs implemented last year

Mr. Berhane Mengesha, Administrator of Emini Haili sub-zone, pointed out that major development and infrastructure programs were implemented in 2014 on the basis of active community participation.

Emini Haili, 07 January 2014 – Mr. Berhane Mengesha, Administrator of Emini Haili sub-zone, pointed out that major development and infrastructure programs were implemented in 2014 on the basis of active community participation. He made the remarks at an assessment meeting in Kudo-B’ur Administrative area.

Mr. Berhane also stated that significant soil and water conservation activities have been carried out in the sub-zone, and that as a result over 220 thousand quintals of cereals and oil seeds were cultivated in the area.

As regards health sector, he explained that about 95% of children in the sub-zone obtained vaccination service and a number of promotional activities targeting communicable and non-communicable diseases were undertaken.
