Students of Lim’at, Finland-Mission, Bidho and Harbegnatat, Junior and Secondary schools, in Geza-Banda sub-zone here in the capital have expressed readiness to step up participation in development endeavors alongside academic studies.
Asmara, 12 January 2014 – Students of Lim’at, Finland-Mission, Bidho and Harbegnatat, Junior and Secondary schools, in Geza-Banda sub-zone here in the capital have expressed readiness to step up participation in development endeavors alongside academic studies. They made the pledge in connection with sensitization campaign they conducted in different parts of the capital city.
Mr. Fitsum Haile, Administrator of the sub-zone, and Mr. Michael Kidane, Administrator of Mai-Jahjah Administrative area, stated that the students are engaging in taking care of trees and promoting environmental hygiene in the city.
Likewise, Mr. Tedros Gebrezgiher, Director of Bidho Junior School, and Mr. Mekonen Fikadu, head of academic service at Harbegnatat Junior School said that the campaign aims at preserving environmental hygiene and thus promote community health. They further expressed appreciation for the active participation the students are demonstrating in the process.
