Education Ministry conducts promotional activities in Anseba region with a view to raising student enrollment
The Ministry of Education has conducted promotional activities in the sub-zones of Kerkebet, Sel’a, Asmat and Habero, Anseba region, with a view to raising student enrollment in general and females in particular.
Keren, 17 January 2015 – The Ministry of Education has conducted promotional activities in the sub-zones of Kerkebet, Sel’a, Asmat and Habero, Anseba region, with a view to raising student enrollment in general and females in particular.
Speaking on the occasion in which Administrators, school directors, teachers, community elders and religious leaders took part, Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of the Ministry’s branch in the region, briefed the participants regarding the prevailing situation as regards education in the region and stressed the need for reinforcing tripartite relations among parents, teachers and students so as to attain the set goals.
Likewise, Mr. Abraham Tekle from the Ministry gave extensive briefings as regards female enrolment at junior and secondary level vis-à-vis the experience of countries in the Horn region.
Similarly , Mr. Woldu Berhe, head of supervision branch of Adult Education Program, outlined the possible means to creating educational opportunity for nationals who didn’t get the chance at the right time and enable them to pursue Adult Education program.
The participants conducted discussion and put forth views on a number of issues.
