Youth Week of Gash-Barka and Kassala regions conclude

Youth Week among Gash-Barka and Sudan’s Kassala regions that opened on January 17 in Barentu town concluded yesterday.

Barentu, 20 January 2015 –Youth Week among Gash-Barka and Sudan’s Kassala regions that opened on January 17 in Barentu town concluded yesterday.

Mr. Gide Soqar, head of the NUEYS branch in Gash-Barka region, and Mr. Habeli Malik Abubeker, head of the Sudanese Congress Party’s youth branch in Kassala, stated that the event mainly focused on cultural and artistic performances, as well as friendly sports competitions. They also indicated that the event was conducted successfully vis-à-vis its objective, in addition to fostering relations of cooperation.

Moreover, both of them pointed out that cultural troupes of both regions have staged impressive performances, and the Sudanese youth group has planted trees at Barentu Patriots Cemetery. Besides, cultural performances were staged in Tessenei city.

According to Erina reporter, cross country 100 and 400 meters competitions, as well as soccer game featured on the occasion.
