Seminars and promotional activities being conducted in Anseba region are making significant contribution towards raising public awareness, and thereby enhance organizational capacity.

Keren, 23 January 2015 – Seminars and promotional activities being conducted in Anseba region are making significant contribution towards raising public awareness, and thereby enhance organizational capacity. This was disclosed at an assessment meeting of the PFDJ branch in the region.

During the meeting in which regional department heads, PFDJ sub-zonal branches, members of the regional Assembly, national associations and the People’s Army took part, it was stated that the progress registered in various sectors attests to the Government’s sound policy. To this end, the regional PFDJ branch indicated that the necessary efforts would be made in collaboration with government bodies, community members and partners in this regard.

The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmud, pointed out that inhabitants of the region have demonstrated active participation in development programs in 2014 and stressed the need for exerting stepped-up efforts for the realization of the set goals this year.

In a report she presented at the meeting, the regional PFDJ Secretary, Ms. Amete Niguse, explained that a number of seminars and meetings were organized last year with a view to reinforcing organization and work cooperation, and that encouraging outcome was registered as regards strengthening the activities of the office at sub-zonal level, nurturing youth cadres, ensuring participation of PFDJ members in development endeavors and control measures pertaining to basic consumer goods.

Likewise, Mr. Habteselasie Kibreab, head of administration of the branch office, said that members have participated with enthusiasm in a number of development undertakings and popular campaign.
