A new micro dam in Shimanigus Tahtai, Seregeqa sub-zone, constructed at 13 million Nakfa has been inaugurated. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Zerit Tewoldeberhan, Managing head in the Central region, said that the facility was put in place in line with the Government’s policy of making available social services in remote areas.
Seregeqa, 29 January 2015 – A new micro dam in Shimanigus Tahtai, Seregeqa sub-zone, constructed at 13 million Nakfa has been inaugurated. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Zerit Tewoldeberhan, Managing head in the Central region, said that the facility was put in place in line with the Government’s policy of making available social services in remote areas.
Mr. Tesfu Fisehatsion, Administrator of Seregeqa sub-zone, indicated on his part that there exist 12 micro dams, 5 water ponds and 54 wells in the sub-zone enabling 68% of the local population to have access to potable water supply.
