Savings and Loan Agency in Southern region extends over 160 million Nakfa to over 21 thousand customers in 2014

The Savings and Loan Agency in the Southern region has extended over 160 million Nakfa to over 21 thousand customers in 2014.

Asmara, 29 January 2015 – The Savings and Loan Agency in the Southern region has extended over 160 million Nakfa to over 21 thousand customers in 2014.

The head of the Agency, Mr. Gebrehiwet Woldai, pointed out that the agency has opened 50 Village Banks in all the region’s sub-zones, thus rendering loan service to members of the public.

The Savings and Loan Agency in the Southern region was established in 1993 and has a membership of more than 75 thousand clients, 60% of whom are females.
