Defense Ministry making various preparations to add color to Silver Jubilee of Operation Fenkil

Brig. General Teklemichael Habtu, Head of the Defense Ministry’s Information and Agitation Work, explained that the Ministry has finalized extensive preparations aimed at  adding color to the Silver Jubilee commemoration of Operation Fenkil.

Asmara, 03 February 2015 – Brig. General Teklemichael Habtu, Head of the Defense Ministry’s Information and Agitation Work, explained that the Ministry has finalized extensive preparations aimed at  adding color to the Silver Jubilee commemoration of Operation Fenkil.The preparations involve artistic, cultural and sport competitions to this end.

He went on to indicate that the Cultural troupes and sports clubs of the Defense Ministry have made preparations for soccer matches, volleyball, Swimming and athletics, in addition to other cultural performances due to be staged as of February 9.

Likewise, Lt. Colonel Kibrom Andemichael and Maj. Tesfazghi Habtai, heads of sports and Cultural branches in the Ministry’s Information and Agitation section respectively,  pointed out that the different programs mapped out would give added color to the historic Silver Jubilee Operation Fenkil observance.
