China’s Communist Party delegation holds talks with PFDJ officials focusing on cooperation of partnership

A delegation of the People’s Republic of China Communist Party, headed by Mr. Zhong Weiyun, head of African Affairs at the party’s International Affairs, today held talks with Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political affairs at the PFDJ,  focusing on cooperation of partnership.

Asmara, 09 February 2015 – A delegation of the People’s Republic of China Communist Party, headed by Mr. Zhong Weiyun, head of African Affairs at the party’s International Affairs, today held talks with Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political affairs at the PFDJ,  focusing on cooperation of partnership.

During the talks in which Mr. Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs at the PFDJ, and Mr. Yusuf Saiq, Chairman of the Central region’s PFDJ branch, took part, the two sides conducted discussion focusing on relations between the PFDJ and the PRC-CP, as well as between the governments of Eritrea and China. The two sides also conducted discussion on regional and international issues and future programs.

During its 3-day stay, the delegation held meetings with officials of the Foreign Ministry, national workers associations, the NUEW and the NUEYS, as well heads of the Higher Education Commission pertaining to enhancement of  bilateral relations.

The delegation also visited Massawa on February 8.
