A growing number of participants from inside the country and abroad for the Silver Jubilee commemoration of Operation Fenkil are flocking to the port city of Massawa through various transportation facilities and even on foot. Masswa, 11 February 2015 –A growing number of participants from inside the country and abroad for the Silver Jubilee commemoration of Operation Fenkil are flocking to the port city of Massawa through various transportation facilities and even on foot.

Among the participants, Mr. Meseret Kidane, a freedom fighter who marched on foot from Mendefera sub-zone to Massawa city, told Erina that he has been taking similar initiatives yearly during the event in honor of the fallen heroes.

Likewise, Mr. Hamid Ibrahim, who came from Sudan, explained that the specialty of the great event lies in the fact that the national development drive is gaining momentum and Eritrea’s bright future becoming apparent.
