Senafe sub-zone: Effective soil and water conservation activities accomplished in 2014

Senafe, 11 February 2015 – It was disclosed at a public meeting in Senafe town that encouraging accomplishments were registered as regards soil and water conservation in 2014.

Speaking at the meeting in which representatives of the public and heads of line ministries took part, Mr. Kiros Gebremariam, Managing director of Senafe sub-zone, explained that the activities comprised soil leveling, construction of water diversion canals, terraces and renovation of roads, among others.

The Administrator of the Sub-zone, Mr. Hizkias Wuhbet, pointed out that a number of development programs are set for implementation this year, including the putting in place of potable water supply facilities at the level of villages and soak-pit-latrines.
