Eritrean cyclist Merhawi Kudus wins Gold medal in under 23 Individual Time Trial Race of Confederation of African Cycling Road Championships
Eritrean cyclist Merhawi Kudus yesterday won Gold medal in the Under 23 Individual Time Trial Race of the confederation of African Cycling Road Championships hosted by South Africa. The competition covered 48-Km.
Asmara, 12 February 2015 – Eritrean cyclist Merhawi Kudus yesterday won Gold medal in the Under 23 Individual Time Trial Race of the confederation of African Cycling Road Championships hosted by South Africa. The competition covered 48-Km.
Rwandan Valens Nydayisenga and Algerian Adil Barbari attained silver and bronze medal respectively.
Meanwhile, in the Elite Men’s Individual Time Trial Race, fellow Eritrean cyclist Daniel Teklehaimanot ranked second, while Ethiopian cyclist Tsegabu Girmai ranked first.
In the elite women’s race, Eritreans Yohana Dawit and Mossana Debesai finished 4th and 7th. The South African women’s team is still dominating the race with 7 Gold medals.
