Students Sports Week conducted in Assab city

The Students Sports Week of the Southern Red-Sea region was conducted recently in Assab with zeal.

Assab, 12 February 2015 – The Students Sports Week of the Southern Red-Sea region was conducted recently in Assab with zeal.

Students with different ages from all sub-zones of the region took and a number of sports competitions, including soccer, volleyball and athletics were conducted during the event.

Mr. Haile Matiwos, in charge of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, noted the significance of the Week towards raising the competitive spirit of the students and nurturing competent sportspersons, besides promoting solidarity among the participants. He further expressed appreciation for the active role demonstrated by partners and Committees of parents.

The participant students lauded the manner in which the event was organized and called for its continuity.
