Fenkil Torch accords warm welcome upon arrival in Massawa

Fenkil Torch which crossed different towns and villages has been accorded warm welcome upon arrival to the port city of Massawa in a ceremony in which President Isasis Afwerki, Ministers, PFDJ officials, regional Administrators, Army Commanders, city residents and participants of the commemorative event were present.

Massawa, 13 February 2015 – Fenkil Torch which crossed different towns and villages has been accorded warm welcome upon arrival to the port city of Massawa in a ceremony in which President Isasis Afwerki, Ministers, PFDJ officials, regional Administrators, Army Commanders, city residents and participants of the commemorative event were present.

During its arrival in Massawa city accompanied by youth who marched on foot from Nacfa, the Torch led carnival shows in the streets of the city and finally was placed in the center of Sigalet-Ketan.

Youth who came from Mahmimet and Nacfa accompanying the Torch told Erina that they have been proud and it gives them spiritual satisfaction for being able to accompany the torch all the way from their place, and that it shoulders them the responsibility to enhance role for the success of national development programs in addition to live up to martyrs trust.
