A Sudanese Teachers Association delegation holds meeting with heads of NCEW and Eritrean Teachers Association
A Sudanese Teachers Association delegation which currently is on a working visit here, held today a meeting with heads of the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers and Eritrean Teachers Association.
Asmara, 18 February 2015 – A Sudanese Teachers Association delegation which currently is on a working visit here, held today a meeting with heads of the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers and Eritrean Teachers Association.
Mr. Tekeste Baire, Secretary General of the NCEW, pointed out that the Confederation is working to enhance cooperation of partnership and sharing of experience among workers’ confederations in our region, and that the current visit by the Sudanese delegation promotes to this end.
Likewise, Mr. Abas Mohammed, Chairman of Sudanese Workers Federation for Education Service, expressed readiness to exert more efforts to strengthen the prevailing relations of the brotherly peoples of Eritrea and Sudan in line with the agreements concluded between the leaders of the two countries.
Moreover, the delegation held talks with members of the governing body of the Eritrean Teachers Association at the association’s central office.
Mr. Isak Tesfagergis, Chairman of Eritrean Teachers Association, briefed the delegation on background and the objective situation of the association.
Similarly, Mr. Shihabadin, Secretary of the Sudanese Teachers Association, noted the significance of such exemplary relations of the two associations towards playing active role in influencing other similar associations in the region aimed at creating common understanding.
