Persistent endeavors exerting with a view to developing sports at national level, Says Sports and Culture Commissioner

Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Sports and Culture Commissioner, said that persistent endeavors are being exerted with a view to developing sports at national level.

Assab, 21 February 2015 – Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Sports and Culture Commissioner, said that persistent endeavors are being exerted with a view to developing sports at national level. He further stressed on the need for exerting stepped-up efforts in promoting sports activities at communal level. He made the statements at an assessment meeting of the Sports Commission in the Southern Red Sea region.

At a report presented by sports heads of the region during which Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, Managing Director of the region, heads of government and PFDJ officials, sports fans took part, indicated that  training courses that have been organized previously as regards management, refereeing and coaching  have borne encouraging outcome.

Sports competitions were conducted in connection with national holidays among teams of the region, and encouraging accomplishments registered as regards reinforcing grassroots program, it was elaborated at the meeting.

Ambassador Mohammed on his part expressed the regional Administration’s readiness to extend the necessary support in strengthening sports activities in the region.
