Mendefera, 22 February 2015- Residents of 8 administrative areas in Dubaruwa sub-zone are undergoing popular campaign at the newly built road connecting Teraimni with Adi-Halo aimed at saving the road form erosion due to flooding.
According to report from the area the popular campaign in which 1200 people are daily participating commenced on 9 February and so far 90% of the job is finalized.
The participants indicated that the new road has significant importance to the residents, and that they have taken the responsibility for its maintenance and sustainability.
The 18 kilometer new road that has been built by the Government in January 2015 connects more than 10 villages in the sub-zone.
