NUEW asserts readiness to enhance role in State affairs

The National Union of Eritrean Women has asserted readiness to enhance role in State affairs on the basis of reinforcing organizational capacity of youth members.

Assab, 23 February 2015 – The National Union of Eritrean Women has asserted readiness to enhance role in State affairs on the basis of reinforcing organizational capacity of youth members. It made the pledge at a recent meeting conducted in the port city of Assab.

In the course of the meeting, Ms. Saediya Ibrahim, head of the NUEW branch in the Southern Red Sea region, briefed the participants focusing on resolutions adopted  in the 7th Congress of the Union, besides the amendment  made on the constitution of the NUEW during the occasion.

She further stated that the Union is registering progress in all its activities, and that the organizational capacity and influence is steadily growing.

She also stressed on the significance of strengthening youth organizational capacity, and thereby ensure their rights and responsibilities through raising their political awareness, and called on the members to step up participation towards the realization the Union’s set goals and building a prosperous nation.
