Sports Week of Eastern Command to begin next month

Information and Agitation Unit of the Eastern Command indicated that the necessary preparations have been finalized for conducting Sports Week of the command scheduled to begin in the first week of March.

Asmara, 25 February 2015 – Information and Agitation Unit of the Eastern Command indicated that the necessary preparations have been finalized for conducting Sports Week of the command scheduled to begin in the first week of March. The Week is a continuation of similar activities organized to nurture mentality and physically fit members of the EDF.

Participants of the event told Erina that sportspersons and fans are expecting eagerly for the Week and expressed conviction that higher spirit of competitiveness would be demonstrated in the process.

In the 2-month Sports Week of the Eastern Command, sports competitions including football, volleyball, swimming, athletics and Badminton, among others, would feature.
