Residents of Asneda area become beneficiaries of basic social service upon resorting to community-based living style
The inhabitants of Asneda Administrative area, Asmat sub-zone, stated that they have become beneficiaries of basic social service and managed small scale irrigation farming upon resorting to community-based living style.
Asmat, 27 February 2015 – The inhabitants of Asneda Administrative area, Asmat sub-zone, stated that they have become beneficiaries of basic social service and managed small scale irrigation farming upon resorting to community-based living style.
They made the statement at a recent meeting they conducted with the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmud, during which the inhabitants indicated that there are adequate land resources for irrigation farming in the area.
Irrigation farmers in the area on their part outlined that they are encountering with transport problem while transporting products from Asneda to market place in Keren, and called on pertinent body to pay due attention in this regard.
The regional Administrator explained that the area is endowed with ampple underground water for irrigation farming, and called on the farmers to exert more endeavors to boost production taking the available resources as a steppingstone.
