Potable water supply facility is being put in place in villages around Ada’unda area, Southern-Denkalia sub-zone, where local inhabitants resorted to community-based pattern of living.

Southern-Denkalia, 02 March 2015 – Potable water supply facility is being put in place in villages around Ada’unda area, Southern-Denkalia sub-zone, where local inhabitants resorted to community-based pattern of living.

The solar-energy water facility comprises two distributions stations involving a total cost of 2 million Nakfa, according to Infrastructure Department of the regional Administration.

In the course of an inspection tour of the water project, Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, Managing director of the Sothern Red Sea region, received briefings by pertinent heads on the pace of the project implementation vis-à-vis its contribution in easing water problem in the locality.

At the meeting he conducted with community elders and village water development committee, Ambassador Mohammed said that the required effort would be made to finalize the project on time and stressed the need for making necessary follow-up pertaining to prudent utilization of the water facility.

Ada-uda is located some 110 Km North west of the port city of Assab.
