Keren, 03 March 2015 – Capt. Tekeste Tekle, Commander of the 2nd Police Station in Keren city, said that student higher awareness regarding law is a
vital as regards crime prevention. At a seminar he conducted for junior and secondary students in the city, he gave briefings focusing on the mission of the Police Force, community role in crime prevention, addition to joint efforts in crime and accidents prevention, among others.
He also stated that the Eritrean Police Force, in collaboration with the public, is exerting persistent endeavors with a view to reducing instances of crime and accidents. Capt. Tekeste futher stressed the need for the active public participation in the realization of the set goals.
Moreover, he called on the students to uphold the nation’s cultural values, and thereby enhance cooperation with Police members.
