NUEW Board members in Gala-Nefhi sub-zone extend material support to orphaned children

Board members of the National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in Gala-Nefhi sub-zone have extended material support to orphaned children being patronized in groups, in addition to handing motivational support to female students who demonstrated educational excellence.

Asmara, 09 March 2015 – Board members of the National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in Gala-Nefhi sub-zone have extended material support to orphaned children being patronized in groups, in addition to handing motivational support to female students who demonstrated educational excellence.

Speaking on the occasion organized in connection with International Women’s Day, Ms. Alem Belai, Chairperson of the NUEW branch in the Central region, said that over 450 exemplary female students have acquired motivational support and called on them to enhance role in endeavors to do away with harmful customary practices.

Likewise, Ms. Semainesh Habte, Chairperson of the sub-zonal branch office, explained that supporting needy citizens is one of the vital values of the Eritrean people. She further called on the female students to exert stepped-up efforts for still more gratifying outcome.
