Eritrean Naval Force organizes computer training course for 249 members

The Eritrean Naval Force has organized computer training course for a total of 249 members at Gedem Technology Training Center.

Asmara, 11 March 2015 – The Eritrean Naval Force has organized computer training course for a total of 249 members at Gedem Technology Training Center.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony in which Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education, Commanders of the Naval Force and invited guests took part, Mr. Tadese Habtemariam, Director of the Training Center, explained that the Center was established last year and has been offering various short courses. He also stated that the latter initiative lasted for 3 months.

Mr. Tadese further explained that the short-term goal of the Center is to provide basic computer training for members of the Naval Force, while the long-term goal is to transform it into research and studies institution of the Force. A total of 17 members of the Center are pursuing advanced computer training so as to meet demand of both teachers and students, he added.

A representative of the trainees expressed satisfaction with the course offered and lauded the enthusiasm teachers demonstrated in the process.
