Mekseb Debesai wins 1st stage of International Blida Tour

Mekseb Debesai, member of the Eritrean National Cycling Team currently participating in Grand Tour of Algeria 2015, yesterday won the 1st stage of International Blida Tour.

Asmara, 13 March 2015 – Mekseb Debesai, member of the Eritrean National Cycling Team currently participating in Grand Tour of Algeria 2015, yesterday won the 1st stage of International Blida Tour. He concluded the 140 Km-long race by 3: 35: 04 ahead of Algerian Adil Barbari and Rwandan Hadi Jannvier.

With this success, Mekseb snatched the leader’s yellow jersey, the best sprinter’s red jersey and best climber’s polka dot jersey.

The 2nd stage of the international tour is scheduled for today between Mouzaia and Tipassa covering a distance of more than 123 Km.
