NUEW Yemen branch commemorate International Women’s Day in colorful manner

The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) Yemen branch commemorated International Women’s Day, March 8, in colorful manner, report indicated.

Asmara, 15 March 2015- The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) Yemen branch commemorated International Women’s Day, March 8, in colorful manner, report indicated.

In a speech he delivered at the occasion, Mr. Mohammed-Sheik Abdu-Jelil, Eritrean Ambassador in Yemen, said that Eritrean women have conducted dual struggle that goes beyond realizing gender equality, and that the International Women’s Day has a special place in Eritrea. He also expressed readiness that the Embassy would stand alongside them in all their endeavors.

Ms. Tirhas Aradom, Chairwoman of NUEW branch, stressed that the Eritrean women have demonstrated bravery and steadfastness in the struggle for independence and in ensuring national sovereignty, and that they would reinforce participation in strengthening unity and for the success of national development programs.
