Compost being produced in Azeb Agro-Industry Plant described vital in raising farm output

Members of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Mendefera sub-zone stated that compost being produced in Azeb Agro-Industry Plant in Dubarwa is vital to raise farm output, and also called on farmers to make good use of it.

 

Dubarwa, 16 March 2015 – Members of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Mendefera sub-zone stated that compost being produced in Azeb Agro-Industry Plant in Dubarwa is vital to raise farm output, and also called on farmers to make good use of it. They made the remarks during a tour of the Plant. They received briefings by Mr. Fikadu Tesfamichael, soil expert in the Plant, focusing on the process of production and its significance. He called on them to play active role in endeavors to boost output through changing existing fertilizing method at scientific level.

Mr. Maekele Tesfamichael, head of economic development in Mendefera sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the explanation presented and voiced the sub-zonal Administration’s readiness to distribute the compost to the farming community.

Similarly, Mr. Eyasu Asefaw, head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, stressed the vitality of the natural fertilizer that would be tested on trees along the streets of Mendefera city.
